Reality TV star Melanie “Mel” Viljoen claims she was mistreated while filming the hit Showmax reality show. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa.
Mel claims the production team conspired against her, saying: “We signed contracts prior to production that forbid us from having any contact or interaction with the other Housewives.”
“But the production company deliberately booked the three housewives together in a five-star hotel for five nights before the shooting began so that they would automatically form an alliance against me.”
Mel said she had booked a place 30km away from the other women, adding: “It's a three-star all-inclusive timeshare resort for pensioners.”
“When I moved to the Magic Villa, I realized I was meant to be the sacrificial lamb to be slaughtered by the Alliance and had to adapt quickly.”

Mel: “My character clashed with Beverley Stein”
Mel also opened up about her relationships with several women, saying that things weren't going well with Bev.
Tuesday's episode saw Mel get into altercations with the ladies, first when she was asked about the Tammy Taylor drama, and then in a heated argument with Beverley Steyn.
“My character clashed with Beverley Stein and I went into the filming with a false sense of empathy for her. I didn't know that she was good friends with some of the girls in my 'Pretoria Housewives' cast or that she was hell-bent on destroying me. Beverley was like a beefed-up 'The Devil Wears Prada.'
“Whenever I would reprimand Beverly and her friends, she would slam her fist on the table like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky.”
