Mia le Roux has finally addressed South Africans following her withdrawal from the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
Miss South Africa withdrew a few days before the final due to health issues, but she is excited to brief the nation.
Le Roux said in a video she shared on her Instagram account that she declined because she was suffering from dizziness.
“Hello everyone. I am back in South Africa and wanted to reach out to you all. Thank you very much for your kind wishes, support and prayers.”
“I wanted to be transparent with you and share my story. Many of you may have seen the video I made about Vertigo when I was in Mexico for Miss Universe. I guess.”
“Vertigo is a condition where you feel dizzy and feel like the world is spinning around you. It can be very intense and cause major problems with imbalance.”
“Mentally I was very well and ready, but physically it was taking a toll on my body. I also had to seek medical attention in Mexico City,” she said. Ta.
On Monday morning, Victoria Keir was crowned Miss Universe 2024, with the former Miss SA finalist representing Nigeria taking first runner-up and representing Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.
