Center Dan du Plessis is the latest player to commit his long-term future to the Stormers.
The Stormers announced on Thursday that du Plessis has signed a contract extension that will keep him plying his trade in Cape Town until at least 2026.

The 29-year-old, who has 64 caps for the Stormers, has been with the Cape franchise throughout his career and was an age-group star representing Western Province at Under-16 and Under-18 level before making the move to the first team.
Du Plessis comes from a family with a rich rugby tradition in the Western Province region, with his father Michael and uncles Karel and Willie all playing for the legendary WP team that won five successive Currie Cups in the 1980s. did. His cousin Jean-Luc also made 50 appearances for the Stormers.
Stormers director of rugby John Dobson welcomed the news that du Plessis will stay at the Cape.
“While Dan's early career was marred by some frustrating injuries, we have seen his class shine through in recent seasons and we hope he continues on that upward trajectory.” I fully expect that.

Du Plessis' contract extension is the latest of a number of new signings confirmed by the Stormers in recent weeks.
