The KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Durban has dismissed with costs the ANC's claim against the Umkhonto Wisizwe (MK) party over the logo.
Acting Judge Nicolette Beckett on Monday dismissed an application by the ANC seeking an order forcing it to pay reasonable “royalty fees” and damages for the use of the logo, which was used by former ANC militant group Umkhon.・Claimed that it resembled the Wisizwe logo.
The ANC also called on the MK party to stop using the logo.

Speaking after the verdict, MK party founder Jabulani Khumalo said:
They (ANC) can appeal. No matter how many times they appeal, we will always win. they don't have any facts. They were just trying to hinder our cause to win the election.
ANC leaders did not attend the proceedings.
The benches marked for ANC representatives were empty.
Following the verdict, Zuma's daughter Duduzile said: “This is to show MK is here to stay. We are not going anywhere. We are here for the two-thirds majority. ” he said.
This is the ANC's second defeat in its legal battle with former president Jacob Zuma's MK party.
Furthermore, the ANC's third defeat was in its application to the SA Electoral Commission (IEC).
The ANC had previously unsuccessfully made a legal request to the IEC to deregister the MK party, citing irregularities in the registration process.
MKP also won a case concerning an electoral tribunal challenge to the IEC's decision to bar Zuma from contesting elections.
MK party leader Visvin Reddy said, “In soccer terms, we have 3 wins and 0 losses. But the biggest victory will come on May 29.”
