The newly formed Umkhonto weSizwe (MK Party) has confirmed that it will not be attending tomorrow's presidential inauguration. The party confirmed this in a statement, saying tomorrow's inauguration of President Cyril Ramaphosa will be hosted by the DA.
Parliamentary Electoral Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndlela said taking part in tomorrow's inauguration would be like spitting on the graves of those who died for freedom.
The lawmakers last week boycotted their first parliamentary session after winning 58 seats in the National Assembly in the May 29 elections.
But the party recently reversed course and said it would go to parliament to continue its fight against allegations of vote rigging.
