In a press statement, Moja Love highlighted Mapanga's extensive experience and ability to host the show.
“He will work with law enforcement agencies to clean South Africa's streets, root out drug gangs and bust drug dealers, including drug traffickers. From leafy suburbs to Ekasi, Zolani will leave no stone unturned. We will do our best,” the channel said.
Mr Mapanga also expressed his desire to fight the drug scourge.
“I have seen first-hand the impact that drugs have on young people, including the lasting scars they leave on families, and I am honored to be able to contribute to social justice programs and programs that address the scourge of drugs head-on.
“This is a battle we cannot win alone, which is why we will continue to work closely with communities and law enforcement to combat the drug scourge in our communities.”
