As South Africa continues its digital transformation journey, Elanzeni TVET College is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future by equipping Mpumalanga's youth with the skills needed for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
To support the next generation for future employment, the College has partnered with Forge Academy & Lab, a 4IR skills development institution, and the Media, Information and Communication Technology Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT Seta).
Under the visionary leadership of Principal Elias Mbuyane, Elanzeni TVET College has become a beacon of hope offering state-of-the-art 4IR education in the Elanzeni region. The College-Forge partnership has sparked innovative initiatives and fostered innovation and entrepreneurship among the state's youth.
Twenty-five students recently graduated from an inclusive learning program designed by Forge Academy & Labs and hosted at the university’s 4IR Center at Murmati Campus, Nkomazi.
The program is designed to impart important IT fundamentals, introduce 5G technology concepts and develop skills in digital business creation, including robotics, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. It encompasses a diverse curriculum covering key 4IR technologies such as:

Students celebrated their achievements at a graduation ceremony and participated in a hackathon to showcase their innovative digital business solutions. The event provided a platform for students to display their newfound skills and creativity, and several participants received recognition and prizes for their outstanding contributions.
