Blaming apartheid for many of South Africa's current problems has been one of the main themes of this election. Whatever their differences, ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa and Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) party leader Jacob Zuma share a clear frustration with the ongoing effects of apartheid.
Part of Ramaphosa's election message ahead of next week's scheduled elections said unemployment, poverty and other ills could be blamed on apartheid. Zuma said the same thing, but without adding another illogical statement.
