Mpoomi Ledwaba is set to make her debut as an author with a book titled; How did we get here?.
The South African star shared the cover of the book on Instagram, revealing that it will be released in October.
Mpoomy gave a brief recap of the book's history and revealed what fans should expect when reading it.
“Nearly four years ago I wrote the first few lines of this book. I wish I could say it wasn't time yet, but, to be honest, I was afraid I wouldn't have anything to say. The truth is, being a writer, contributing to libraries and, dare I say, becoming an author were dreams I had been hesitant to voice from the moment I started working in the library at Middelburg Primary School,” she writes.
“It was so far-fetched, but I couldn't deny the connection to the words, the pages, the story. In 2006, girls like me weren't writing books, or at least I knew I wasn't. So I decided that in 2023, at the end of my twenties, I'm going to strip naked and show the world me – that version of me.”
“I won't promise you a fairy tale, but I promise the truth, the chills, the laughs, the empathy and sometimes the wackiness. And I am scared. It feels a bit scary, like the first day of school… new environment, new uniform, new friends, introducing yourself and having to hope for the best… It's been a long journey but God is holding my hand like a loving father,” Ledwaba added.
