Nigerians react to the newly crowned Miss South Africa 2024 following Chidinma Adesina's withdrawal from the competition.
Chidinma is a young model of Nigerian descent and since she took part in the contest there has been fierce competition between South Africans and Nigerians.
Mia Leroux won the Miss SA title on Saturday night and was crowned by the previous winner, Natasha Joubert.
News of Mia's victory spread across the internet, catching the attention of international observers, especially Nigerians.
Mzansi faced harassment and criticism for trying to exclude black girls from the sport.
These critics also questioned Mia's victory.
“Despite all the uproar against Chidimma he lost to someone in a minority. Pathetic!” one Twitter user wrote.
“Despite all the xenophobia noise, the organizers couldn't find any of them worthy of winning? They will remain slaves in their own country,” wrote another.

She is nowhere near the radiant beauty of this stunning dark chocolate goddess. Had Chidinma not abstained, she would undoubtedly have taken the crown. Just look at her. She is the perfect embodiment of feminine grace, with skin as rich and flawless as ebony. pic.twitter.com/wbXqLnm1FB
