The retailer plans to open its first Michael Jordan-branded sneaker and apparel store at 1617 Walnut Street in the city's Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, according to documents filed with the Philadelphia Historical Commission. ing.
The building at 1617 Walnut Street was built in 1921. His two-story building is approximately 7,000 square feet in size.
In its application, Nike developer MBH Architects details plans to install new doors on the building's ground floor and replace French doors on the second floor with plate glass windows, with “only the historic transom bar remaining”. the document shows. The first World of Flight store opened in Milan in December 2022. The second store, Jordan World of Flight Shibuya, opened in Tokyo last March. Last June, the third World of Flight store opened in Seoul, South Korea.
