Legendary Nollywood actor, John Okafor, has finally been buried three months after his death.
Okafor is known for her role as Eve in the hit movie “Eve.” EveHe died of cardiac arrest in March.
The actor's farewell ceremony began last Tuesday, June 25, with a novelty match, followed by a candlelight ceremony on Wednesday.
His funeral took place in his hometown of Amuri, Enugu State, Nigeria on Friday, with a thanksgiving service held on Sunday.
Okafor's manager and daughter, Chioma Jasmine Okafor, posted several videos on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into her father's heartfelt send-off.

John Okafor's health issues
Okafor faced serious health challenges last year and underwent multiple surgeries for serious illnesses, including the amputation of his leg.
“My father underwent seven surgeries, all successful, but to give him a better chance of survival and recovery he had to have one of his legs amputated.
“This development has been difficult for all of us, but we had no choice but to accept this as my father's new reality in order to keep him alive,” a family statement said in October 2023.

At the time, the family also appealed for donations to cover medical expenses, and clarified that the amputation was due to complications from blood clotting and other health issues, not diabetes as had been widely speculated.
“We would like to correct some misconceptions circulating on social media regarding our father's current health condition. Firstly, we would like to state that our father only had one leg amputated, not both.
“The first amputation did not fully improve his health, so doctors had to amputate another leg on the same leg to avoid losing him.”
