Nollywood is mourning the death of actress and producer Sharon Okpamen, who passed away just weeks after giving birth to her second child, a baby girl.
News of her death was confirmed by film producer Stanley Ontop on Instagram on Saturday.
According to multiple reports, Okpamen's death was due to complications during childbirth.

The birth of Okpamen's daughter, Osarwes, was announced on her Instagram page on July 31.
“Glory to God, OSARHUESE is here, 9 months has ended in praise to God. [you] “Amazing,” the post said.

Tributes pour in for Sharon Okpamen
Fans and colleagues took to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to Okpamen.
Among many heartfelt messages, Ezekiel Wilfred wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “A mother's love is eternal, even if the time she was with us is not. Let us honour the memory of those who gave their lives for the gift of life and work towards a future where every mother can nurture and cherish her children. Rest in peace Sharon Okpamen.”

Since then, Okpamen has starred in many other Nigerian films, mostly Yoruba language films.
Apart from his on-screen roles, Okpamen is also a successful film producer, entrepreneur and humanitarian who has made a huge impact both on and off the screen.
