Nota Baloyi has spoken out on the standoff between DJ Maphorisa and Samthing Soweto over masters ownership.
The vocalist recently opened up about how the DJ has exploited him for years, but Fori fired back at Something by blatantly claiming that he can't own all the masters.
Nota, who is known for being outspoken, took to Twitter to urge the men to reconcile but supported DJ Maphorisa.
“He produced. He may not have written the songs but the songwriters found in his house work for his production company…If he's not a producer then why did you pay him? Don't let him be discredited fuelled by fans who weren't there when you needed him. Make peace with everyone!”

Nota further revealed that the gatekeeping of Foli keeps the amapiano genre safe.
“if translation: “Without gatekeeping, Amapiano would have become a sub-genre of Afrobeats by now. I would say this in 2020, but thankfully our artist community led the way in warning us. Come on, let's settle our differences, do business fairly and allow samples!”
