Nottingham Forest have not asked Stuart Attwell to be relieved of his duties as video assistant referee for the game against Everton, according to BBC Sport.
After Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park, Forest Posted in X, external They said they were “considering their options'' regarding the “extremely poor'' refereeing call, which they felt went against them.
The club said it had “warned” the Professional Game Match Officials Committee (PGMOL), saying: “VAR is a Luton fan but did not make any changes to him.”
However, BBC Sport has also been told that Forrest has not indicated that he has a problem with Attwell's involvement.
Forest were frustrated by three penalty claims during the Premier League game, all of which involved Everton defender Ashley Young, and none of which went their way.
The game was scoreless before Callum Hudson-Odoi's cross hit Young in the arm late in the first half, when Forest tried to tackle Gio Reina by hitting the back of his boot. I felt that I had grasped it.
The third incident occurred after the interval when Young challenged Hudson-Odoi from behind, but officials determined Young won the ball cleanly.
Speaking to X after the match, Forest said: “Three very bad calls and three penalties not awarded is completely unacceptable to us.
“Our patience has been tested many times.”
Forest hired former referee Mark Clattenburg as a referee analyst after a series of decisions against them.
The retired official then wrote a column in the Mail on Sunday saying Mr Forrest “feels victimized by yet another defeat in which major decisions went unanswered”.
The result leaves Forest in 17th place in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone, with four games remaining.
Forest's appeal against a four-point penalty for breaching the Profitability and Sustainability Regulations (PSR) will be heard on Wednesday 24 April.
