Ntsiki Mazwai, who is known for her bold opinions and strong stances on various social issues, recently made headlines when she revealed her decision to avoid dating South African men.
The outspoken poet and activist said her sisters' experience of “not being committed to their baby's father” played a major role in her choice, and explained why.
Mazwai cited the hardships her sisters experienced due to their father's absence and expressed frustration at the tendency of South African men to not take responsibility for their children.
“Both my sisters were with irresponsible men. I will not pursue motherhood in this country. Men are losers. Sorry,” Nstiki tweeted.
Ntsiki, who is known for taking on controversial topics, has sparked debate on social media with many either supporting her views or criticising her generalisations about South African men. However, Mazwai is standing by her decision.
Whether or not you are a father figure to your children is now a big issue.

Maybe you and your sisters are just lazy. Instead of blaming others, why not try smelling your own armpits first? Woman afraid of water pic.twitter.com/IRVljS4bHm
