Pirates defenders unfazed by Chiefs youth threat
The dreadlocked Pirates defender said the youngster was just thrilled after scoring against Chiefs on Tuesday.
“No, I don't think it was a challenge. They just scored a goal,” Pirates defender Nda told reporters.
“I’m not worried about what he said, I think he’s more excited.
“So I'm looking forward to the next game on Saturday. We just have to get the result.”
Pirates defender: We're excited for the derby too
The cool and composed Pirates defender says they share the same excitement as the Chiefs' young players.
He added that despite Wednesday's disappointing draw, Pirates want to deliver a win to their fans.
“I think it's because the derby motivates them the same way it motivates us,” added the 26-year-old Pirates defender.
“No matter what happens, no matter how bad I play.
“It's a derby where everyone wants to give their best performance and everyone wants to get a good result.
“So I think it’s more like they’re there because they know how important it is.
“That makes it more difficult to play.”
