Kensington Palace has denied that the Princess of Wales was in a coma during a scheduled abdominal surgery in January.

Source sets the record straight
Spanish media reported that Duchess Kate is in a coma due to complications from a medical procedure.
“The doctors had to make a drastic decision at that moment because complications arose,” noted journalist Concha Calleja.
Concha continued, “The decision was to put her in a coma. They had to intubate her. The surgery went well, but the postoperative course was not so good, so… An unexpected serious complication has occurred.”
Despite these claims, palace officials denied the bold accusations.
“It's complete nonsense,” a palace source told the media. times.
The source added: “The journalist made no attempt to fact-check her statement with any member of the family. It's basically a complete fabrication and we'll use polite English here.” But definitely not.”

Princess Kate's planned abdominal surgery
On Monday, January 29th, Kate, Princess of Wales returned home after undergoing planned abdominal surgery. After her discharge from hospital, a source close to her royal family said that Kate's surgery had gone “successfully” and that she was “still recovering”.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes the public understands her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children. and wishes that her personal medical information be kept private,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.
The palace also said it would only provide updates on Kate's health if there was “significant new information to share.”
“Kensington Palace will therefore only provide updates on His Royal Highness' progress if there is significant new information to share,” the Palace explained.
