Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique says his team needs to “get used to playing without Kylian Mbappé” after he came on as a substitute in the draw against Rennes.
Against Rennes, he was unable to add to his 21 goals this season and was sent off in the 65th minute.
“We have to get used to not playing with Kylian. It will happen sooner or later,” Enrique said.
“If I think it's appropriate, he'll make the decision to play or not to play, just like every coach does with their players.
“I want to be as competitive as possible for next season. I want all the starters in this PSG team to think this is a great opportunity. That's what I'm looking for this season and next season. is.”
Amine Gouiri opened the scoring for Rennes in the first half before Gonzalo Ramos saved a point at the top of Ligue 1 with a stoppage-time penalty.
PSG are unbeaten in their last 18 league games and are at the top of the table with 54 points from 23 games, with an 11-point difference.
