Several political parties are using the final weekend before the May 29 election to launch a final push to win over voters.
An estimated 28 million registered voters across the country are expected to cast ballots.
The elections are widely being described as the country's most contested since democracy began in 1994.
In addition to the African National Congress (ANC) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), which are holding their final rallies today, other political parties including the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), African Transformation Movement (ATM), Uniting South Africa (BOSA) and Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party are also holding rallies across the country.
ACDP leader Rev Kenneth Meshoe will conclude the party's election campaign with a church service and interactions with people across Cape Town.
ATM held local prayer and preparation meetings simultaneously in nine states across the country.
The main event, featuring party leader Vuyo Zungula, will be held in Ngeleni, Eastern Cape.
