U.S. Open champion Windham Clark shot a course-record 60 to move into the lead at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The 30-year-old American holds the lead for the third round at 17 under after an incredible 12-under round in California.
Clark hit 28 shots on the front nine, including four birdies and two eagles.
After making four birdies and one bogey on the back nine, he missed a 26-foot putt for eagle that could have marked 59 on the par-5 18th.
“Even if I hit a 59 somewhere, I don't think it compares to hitting a score like this on one of the most historic golf courses in the world,” Clark said.
“Keeping the pedal to the metal and staying mentally aggressive was the most impressive thing for me.
“It was extraordinary to make that many putts. It was truly amazing.”
Sweden's Ludvig Aberg shot a 67 to take second place, one stroke behind Clark, while France's Mathieu Pabon was one stroke further behind after a round of 66.
Belgium's Thomas Detry, who shared the lead overnight with Aberg, and American world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler are three and four strokes behind Clark, respectively.
England's Justin Rose is 11 under thanks to a 66, while world No. 2 Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland is 2 under after a round of 69.
The previous course record of 62 was set by Tom Kite in 1983, followed by fellow American David Duvall in 1997, Patrick Cantlay in 2021, and Austrian Matthias Schwab in 2022.
