Pitso Mosimane: “Nothing extra, just polish”
Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will be at X on Tuesday. praise Bafana Bafana defeated Morocco 2-0 in the African Cup of Nations.
“Tebogo Mokoena! What a player. The free kick he scored was just the icing on the cake! He stepped on every blade of grass on the pitch. He dominates the midfield. There is no debate, SA are one of the most tactically disciplined teams in the tournament. There’s no frills, just polishing,” Mosimane said.
Mosimane also credited coach Hugo Bruce and assistant coach Herman Muharele for their team's tactical discipline.
“We still have a way to go, one step at a time, but we can celebrate our hard-won victories,” Mosimane concluded.
South Africans took to social media on Tuesday to congratulate their national soccer team on reaching the quarter-finals.
Al Jazeera reported that South Africa will play Cape Verde in the quarter-finals on Saturday, February 3.
