Solly Moholo was hospitalised in Botswana and then transferred to South Africa.
The management of popular gospel singer, Solly Moholo, has organised a prayer event for him as he continues to fight for life in hospital.
Moholo suffered a stroke and multiple organ failure while in Botswana last month during the pre-launch of his upcoming album. Ubani o zo pepeza.
In a social media post on Sunday, his management company announced plans to hold an event to pray for his recovery.
talk The CitizenMoholo's manager, Gladness Tobakgare, said several efforts were underway to cover his medical expenses.
“We are doing some fundraising to cover medical costs. We haven't had an update from the doctor recently but the last time it was about R700,000,” Thobakgale said.

She added that the team is awaiting further updates from doctors on the singer's condition.
“At this stage we are unable to comment in detail on his condition as we are still waiting for feedback.
“The last report we received was that he had suffered a mild stroke and multiple organ failure. Doctors were able to stabilise his condition but were told at the time that he would need surgery.”
Details of the prayer meeting, such as the date, time and venue, will be announced soon.
National fundraising tour for Solly Moholo
Last week, Moholo's management announced that he would be teaming up with other artistes for a nationwide fundraising tour.
“Following our previous update on Solly Moholo’s condition and the assistance needed for his medical costs, Solly Moholo’s A-Team are proud to announce that we will be working with other artistes, promoters and organisations on a national fundraising tour.
“The aim of this tour is to raise funds for Solly Moholo's medical expenses and celebrate his music through the art of music.”
