The next general election will be held on May 29, 2024. And it looks like the African National Congress (ANC) will not disband without flying a plane.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has previously encouraged campaigners to do so regarding the law.
“I call on all South Africans to exercise their democratic right to vote and for those campaigning to do so peacefully and in full compliance with the law.” SA.gov He quoted the president's remarks.
The ANC has achieved all its objectives in its ongoing campaign. In fact, a recent video posted on social media showed Prime Minister Ramaphosa receiving prayers for the party's success.
The President also appeared at Daveyton Mall in Gauteng, where he was warmly welcomed by a large crowd of ANC supporters. “The Daveyton community has certainly reaffirmed our position as leaders in society,” he said after his stop.
Going forward, the ANC promised to solve the country's serious challenges, including high unemployment, crime and poverty. Reuters report. This was reportedly outlined at a recent manifesto launch in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
