The Duke of Sussex has opened up about how he found out about his father, King Charles III,'s cancer diagnosis.

Prince Harry speaks to King Charles
In an interview with Good morning, America Will Reeve correspondent Harry revealed that his father called him directly to inform him of his cancer diagnosis.
During an interview Friday at the Invictus Games One Year to Go event in Whistler, Canada, correspondent Will Reeve asked, “How did you hear the news that your father was sick?” asked the Duke of Sussex.
“I spoke to him,” Prince Harry said candidly.
When asked about his next move, the Duke of Sussex said he “jumped on a plane” to meet his father. [he] did it”.

'i love my family'
Prince Harry also spoke about how he felt rushing to his father's side, especially considering his strained relationship with the royal family.
“Look, I love my family,” the Duke of Sussex said.
Harry also said he was grateful to have met and spent time with his father.
The duke went on to say: “I'm grateful to have been able to get on a plane and go see him and spend every moment with him.”
But despite everything, the prince admitted that King Charles' cancer could be the catalyst for some reconciliation.
“Through all this, [Invictus] I see the bonds between our families growing stronger every day,” Prince Harry said.
“I think families come together no matter what the illness or illness,” he added.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are currently in Canada for the 2025 Winter Invictus Games. The 2025 Invictus Games will be Canada's first winter event.
