Award-winning rapper Mtee (real name Mthembeni Ndebu) recently came forward to serve a restaurant owner in Johannesburg following an allegation of racism at the restaurant owner's restaurant on Monday, March 11.

of roll up The hitmaker demanded an apology from the restaurant's president following the alleged racist incident. In a letter shared on his feed, Emtee claimed that his driver dropped him and his friends off at Mike's Kitchen in Parktown as they intended to have a drink before heading to the studio.
When he arrived at the facility, he was allegedly denied entry because he smelled marijuana and had “too many tattoos.” The driver had already driven off, leaving the team stranded on the road.
“This was an act of harassment and racial profiling. It caused great humiliation and severe harm to them. [the] Client image and reputation. He is both a well-known artist and a member of society. Especially since it happened right in front of patrons. Among them are his fans and supporters,” the letter said.
The states also require restaurants to issue formal apologies by Wednesday, March 13th. We will also take legal action in the event of any violation.
Details of the alleged incident
according to SA Hip Hop Magazine, Mike's Kitchen has distanced itself from the allegations regarding Emtee and his friends at Mike's Heritage House. The store reportedly wanted to make it clear that it was not affiliated with the restaurant.
The store's statement reportedly read, “We strongly condemn all forms of racism, discrimination, and bigotry at any of our properties, including the recent incident reported at Mike's Heritage House. Our Society Racism has no place in the United States and we stand firmly against it. It is imperative that all businesses, including Mike's Kitchen, uphold our values of inclusivity, respect, and equality for all individuals.”
