ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is conducting door-to-door canvassing in Nomzamo, in the Strand, on the outskirts of Cape Town, as part of the ruling party's election campaign.
This is his third and final day of campaigning in the Western Cape.
His first stop in Nomzamo was the home of Phumla Majida, a disabled woman.
The 29-year-old raised concerns about accessibility in learning places for people with disabilities. She is wheelchair bound.
Ramaphosa pledged that he would be the first to sign up for a learning place for people with disabilities when it is completed in the area. He also directed ANC officials accompanying him on the campaign trail to ensure Mr Magida's disability grant is restored.
Other issues such as hygiene, employment and crime were also highlighted by Ramaphosa. He said he was saddened by the situation of the Nomzamo community.
“Upon entering this place, Nomzamo was met with a strong stench that ran through the streets. It was that kind of morning… It makes me feel very sad, but looking at the support here, the ANC is here. I believe he will do well.”

Meanwhile, other ANC members are campaigning across the country with former president Thabo Mbeki in Pretoria.
Former ANC vice president Clema Motlanthe said he believed the ANC had listened to the cries of South Africans.
He is campaigning for his party in Ekurhuleni ahead of the May 29 vote.
