African Global Operations (AGO), formerly known as Bosasa, has sold its remaining assets for approximately R30 million.
Park Village Auction (PVA).
The once-unkempt headquarters of African Global Operations (AGO) has been sold again.
The Krugersdorp office park and training center, known as the Smart Global Campus, sold for R29.5 million at auction on Friday, according to Park Village Auctions.
The facility includes storage, storage, a command and control room, a recreational building with a large timber deck, a restaurant, a lapa, and sleeping quarters. The site area is over 8 hectares.
Bosasa was liquidated in 2019 after receiving billions of dollars in government contracts and paying hundreds of millions of dollars in bribes. The Zondo Commission on State Capture labeled the Bosasa problem as “corruption on an industrial scale.”
The property was first auctioned in December 2019, with Fidelity Security Group winning the headquarters for R14 million.
However, the company abandoned the deal due to litigation-related delays. There was a flurry of court applications challenging the appointment of Bosasa liquidators, from the High Court benches in Pretoria and Johannesburg to the Supreme Court of Appeal and finally the Constitutional Court. This delayed the company's liquidation.

The property was auctioned along with furniture (valued at R410,000) and a 2012 Toyota Hilux (valued at R70,000). Ten bidders participated in the auction.
The liquidator will use the funds to settle the company's debts.
