Egyptian football club Al Ahly SC has not issued a statement canceling the trial of Bafana Bafana star Teboho Mokoena over his comments about Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema. .

In an interview with iDiski TimesGlyn Binkin, the Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder's agent, rubbished the claim.
Furthermore, the African Giants have stated that they have no interest in signing Mokoena.
“It's nonsense and completely rubbish,” an angry Binkin told the magazine.
“Nothing in the article is true. There is nothing. I would be very surprised if it was from Al Ahli. With all due respect, why is Teboho Mokoena being tried anywhere? Is it? It’s fake news with no substance.”

Mokoena's trial has been halted by Al Ahly, according to a letter circulating on social media. However, the fake letter referred to the club as Al Ahly “FC” instead of “SC”.
The fake letter further states that the reason for the cancellation was Mokoena's comments about Malema during Bafana's arrival from the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) competition in Ivory Coast on Wednesday.

Malema was one of the many South Africans who were present to welcome the Afcon bronze medalist at OR Tambo International Airport and put a smile on Mokoena's face in a show of support. The 27-year-old soccer star praised the EFF president, calling him “my favorite president in this country”.
“I am very happy to meet President Julius Malema. He is my favorite president of this country.
“This is the proudest moment of my life. I will continue to do my best to make my family proud.”
