Rise Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi highlighted four key areas in the Free State that require immediate and focused attention.
Mr. Zibi stressed that the party's strategy is in line with the national plan, while being tailored to the unique needs of specific states. He made these remarks while announcing the Rise Mzansi plan in Boshabelo, Free State.
He cited poor governance, the collapse of manufacturing and the decline of the mining sector as his main concerns. Mr. Zibi further emphasized the need to restore the free state as the country's breadbasket.
Zibi said: “Addressing governance issues is paramount. Corruption-plagued municipalities like Mangan have seen little improvement despite years of being in power.Secondly, The once-vibrant manufacturing industry in the southern Free State is in decline and needs revitalization. Third, the decline of mining in the northern and northwestern Free State, particularly in areas like Machaben. Innovative approaches are needed. Finally, it is vital that we restore South Africa's status as a free country.
