British pop star Rod Stewart was booed at a concert in Germany when he voiced support for Ukraine in its war with Russia, German media reported on Sunday.

But public opinion on the issue remains divided: some worry that German support for Kiev risks escalating the war, while others resent the amount of money being spent on Ukraine.
Both far-left and far-right parties that oppose the German government's support for Ukraine made significant gains in last week's European Parliament elections.
