Miss Universe Nigeria winner, Chidinma Adesina, is at the centre of controversy amid rumours that she has been disqualified.
The beauty queen is facing backlash from a group of South Africans who have reportedly spread the information and lodged complaints.
Chidinma has struggled since competing in Miss South Africa and then bowing out to be crowned Miss Universe Nigeria.
Some South Africans on social media are unhappy with her and have launched a new campaign to stop her from taking part in the Miss Universe competition in Mexico.
Things reportedly escalated when people began tagging the official Miss Universe account on social media, demanding that the organisation withdraw Adetosha from the pageant.
While the Miss Universe Organisation is yet to make an official statement on the rumours, Chidinma's fans and supporters have backed her, with many coming to the beauty queen's defence on social media.
I reported Chidimma on the Miss Universe website. Judging by his actions, I am sure that the CEO of Miss Universe Nigeria did not inform Miss Universe about the ongoing investigation. The link to the website is in the comments below.

Xenophobes are trying to leave Chidimma out of the Miss Universe contestant photos to give the impression that she will not be competing. The African Queen will be representing the African powerhouse Nigeria. Here is a photo of the Queen. Keep supporting her. pic.twitter.com/jnWnnYYrYY
