- At least 28 people, including children, were killed when a restaurant and bakery were hit by shelling in the Russian-occupied eastern city of Liszchansk. Russia condemned the attack on Ukraine. Ukraine has not commented on the incident. Ukrainian officials say only about a tenth of Lishchansk's prewar population of 110,000 remains in the city.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskiy visited Ukrainian soldiers on the front line in the village of Robotyn in southeastern Zaporizhzhia, which is under relentless attack by Russian forces. President Zelensky met with the soldiers of the 65th Mechanized Brigade and handed them medals.
- During his visit to the front, President Zelensky also appointed Ivan Federov as the new head of the Zaporizhzhia regional state administration.
