The over 40 men's cricket team has won the International Masters Cricket World Cup by defeating New Zealand on their home ground.
Cape Town, South Africa (March 4, 2024) – The 1st Over 40 International Masters Cricket (IMC) World Cup was held in South Africa recently and a great home team won by defeating New Zealand by six wickets.
IMC hosts tournaments for teams in their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s and over. The IMC was formally established at a general meeting on August 6, 2023, attended by members from all 14 member countries. At this general meeting, he was joined by people over 60 years old and people over 70 years old. This means that IMC now covers all four of his age groups.
Participating nations include major cricketing nations such as England (Wales will be playing as a solo team), India, Australia, New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka. Other countries include neighboring Zimbabwe and Namibia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Canada, and Pakistan.
The Over 40 World Cup was held in Cape Town over the weekend, with South Africa sweeping the competition.
