From skydiving to river cruises, here's what celebrities have done.
Several South African celebrities welcomed 2025 and enjoyed the African continent.
Pearl Tusi skydives in Tanzania
Media personality Pearl Toosi is currently in the East African country of Tanzania, where she is scheduled to DJ on New Year's Day.
After fulfilling his original purpose, Toosi went on to explore the country with his daughter. On Saturday, she shared a video of herself skydiving.
“I always swore I would never skydive. But 2025 is 20 20 fly,” she captioned a video of herself landing on a beach in Zanzibar.

Anele Mdoda of Zambia
Broadcaster and entrepreneur Anele Mdoda flew to Zambia for a short trip with loved ones in the New Year.
“So for the past few days I've been picturing in my head all the big things that will happen in 2025: graduations, weddings, anniversaries, my son turning 10, my father turning 70. Falls is the perfect destination for little people and little people's big moments in life,'' Mdoda wrote.
“What a special place with even more special people. The food, the beauty, the history, the majestic nature, everything! Tadaaaa after tadaaaa. What a happy time, what a happy place. !”
In another post, Mdoda said she was “just a girl on a sunset cruise through Zambia on the African Queen.” Amazingly, one amazing thing after another! This place is magical. I can't believe how happy we are. ”
Neo Nontso, a chef and cookbook author, also joined Mdoda on the trip. She also posted a shot of herself visiting Victoria Falls.
Earlier this week, Bok captain Siya Kolisi shared photos of herself enjoying Zambia and Zimbabwe with her family.

Rachel from Botswana
Rachel Kolisi took her children on a solo trip to neighboring Botswana in the New Year.
“It was my first vacation/new year without the kids,” Rachel wrote on Instagram.
Rachel embarks on her first solo trip despite being nervous.
“So instead of staying home and grieving alone, I went on a dream trip to Botswana.
“It was my first solo trip and I'm an introvert, so I arrived very nervous and sad,” Rachel said.
Although nervous, Rachel said she left the southern African country feeling fulfilled. “[I] I came back with a very fulfilled heart and lots of wonderful new friends from all over the world. ”
“I love this about you! It really makes me happy to see women prioritize their own happiness (under any circumstances),” Yulenda wrote.
“Especially as a lawyer who has seen what happens to women who devote their lives to their families, ignoring their own personal needs and well-being.
“The truth is, your family will benefit when you shamelessly take good care of yourself. They will be happy mothers, wives, and any other role you choose. Sho.”

Carol Ofori of Zambia
Like Mdoda, East Coast radio broadcaster Carol Ofori also enjoyed Zambia.
“Zambezi River Cruise! Such a beautiful experience! ” she wrote on Instagram.
“I really love this continent and its people, seeing hippos and crocodiles and going to Zambia and Zimbabwe at the same time. Africa, my Africa.”
