Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) president Julius Malema has questioned the progress of police in handling the murder case of slain rapper alias Keenan Jarryd Forbes, gaining support from several social media users. . Recently it's TikTok.
'Who pulled the trigger?': Julius Malema on Aka's killer
Netizens agreed with EFF leader Julius Malema after he shared his feelings regarding the AKA murder. The murdered rapper was assassinated on February 10, 2023 outside the Wish restaurant. His killer was also caught on surveillance camera.
In a recent video posted on social media, Malema shamed the police investigating the late rapper's murder. The EFF president doesn't seem convinced that police are working fast enough to solve AKA's murder, especially considering his killer was caught on the spot on CCTV .
Mr Malema also criticized Police Minister Bheki Cele and his past updates on cold cases.

“We found a bullet. We found a car,” Malema said, echoing Cele's previous update. “Senzeni [What must we do with that]? ” asked the politician. “What should we do with such information?” Malema continued.
“Bheki Cele held a press conference wearing a big hat and came to us and said: [that] He knows cars and guns. We're not interested in that. We are interested in a young boy who pulled the trigger and killed a public figure on camera,” Malema said.
“A famous person was killed in front of the camera, and the whole world took notice.'' [and] To date, we have not arrested those people,” the EFF leader continued.
