“The strangest job in the world”
While traveling the world was exciting for Bezuidenhout and his crew, he acknowledged that globe-trotting adventures come with their own unique challenges.
“The best part about filming was seeing the world. But shooting overseas is a different ball game than in South Africa. In a place like Germany, you can't just park your van anywhere and start filming. Also, there was a language barrier in Japan, which made things difficult.
“Everything takes time. You don't just pull out your camera and shoot,” Bezuidenhout said.
Of all the jobs he's had, he found the role of rental boyfriend particularly odd.
“I didn't even know that rental boyfriend jobs existed in Japan.I also thought the ghost hunting and dildo designs were pretty weird.
“But at the end of the day, a job is a job, and anything can be a job as long as you make money and it pays your bills.
“We live in a world where the sky is the limit. There is no need to follow traditional career paths anymore,” he said.
