The school will officially open in November.
School of Rock, the largest music school franchise in the United States, is opening in Johannesburg this year.
The school officially opened over 20 years ago and has since expanded to many countries.
The Johannesburg franchise joins School of Rock's network of more than 375 schools in 15 countries.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this new restaurant to our customers,” said franchisee and owner Russell Rand. Citizen They chose Johannesburg, and specifically the northern suburbs, because that's where he grew up and spent most of his life.
He added: “Parktown North offers a fantastic combination of retail and residential, including excellent schools from nursery to high school, and is conveniently located close to major centres such as Rosebank, Sandton and Parktown.”
Speaking about his motivation for opening School of Rock Johannesburg, Lund said: “We believe that music is a gift that truly enriches and fulfills life, for children and adults alike. For children, learning music improves memory and concentration and helps them do better at school. It also helps them understand and express emotions better, developing important social skills.”
“For adults, music is a great way to relieve stress and stimulate the brain. It's also a great creative outlet that helps us express emotions. Plus, music brings people together, creating a sense of community and connection that brings joy and fulfillment.”

Parktown North offers programs for all ages, including performance-based instruction, group classes and private lessons.
Instrumental lessons include guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and vocals, as well as music production.
“The School of Rock journey starts at an early age of 3 with our group, the Little Wing program, then progresses to Rookies at age 6 and performance programs such as Rock 101, our performance program and adult band program starting at age 8,” Rand said.
He added: “No matter your age, musical talent or dreams, our music programs will teach you how to rock on stage and in life. You'll learn some of your favorite iconic songs from our expertly trained instructors to prepare you for live performance. Lessons are customized to your age, experience and ability.”

Beyond Music Lessons
Land said he has bigger plans for the school, including making a positive difference in the community.
“Together with Managing Director Jared Rosenberg, we have aligned goals to create a fun, safe, inclusive and representative environment where hundreds of students can find fulfillment at many levels of life. Our goal is to challenge ourselves, our students and our teachers, and achieve amazing milestones as a team. There are no limits to what's possible at School of Rock.”
