The Ministry of Culture and the Singapore Tourism Board said in a joint statement that authorities worked directly with concert organizers.
The statement follows reports last week that Thai Prime Minister Sureta Thabisinh claimed Thailand had signed an exclusive deal with Swift to perform only in Singapore and not in other Southeast Asian countries.
Singapore declined to disclose the amount of the grant, citing trade secrets, and did not say whether an exclusive agreement had been reached.

Although he did not directly address the allegations, he said Swift's show was “likely to have significant benefits for Singapore's economy”.
An entertainment industry veteran, who requested anonymity, told AFP that exclusive contracts were “not uncommon for people to ask for, but it's not that common for artists to accede to them.”

Since pandemic curbs were lifted, Singapore has attracted a number of international artists including Blackpink, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.
Swift will perform six performances at Singapore's National Stadium in early March, with more than 300,000 fans expected to attend.
After Singapore, Swift will head to Europe on a tour that is expected to gross an impressive $2 billion.
