Manager James Rowe said Ireland were in a “great situation” after beating Italy 36-0 to continue their unbeaten start to defending their Six Nations title.
Lowe scored the fifth of six tries between Ireland and Italy in a one-sided match in Dublin.
Ireland, who defeated France in the opening match, are on track to win back-to-back Grand Slam titles.
Leinster winger Lowe said: “I'm happy with the performance and overall I felt good today.”
“The set-pieces were absolutely dominant and it’s great to have a platform like that, it makes my job a little bit easier.”
Ireland went into Sunday's match against Italy as favorites to build on their impressive victory over France in the opening game of the Six Nations.
Ireland had a dominant first half at the Aviva Stadium, with Jack Crowley, Dan Sheehan and Jack Connan scoring first-half touchdowns.
Hooker Sheehan got the bonus point before Rowe scored a wonderful solo try and winger Calvin Nash wrapped up the win.
“I was pretty happy with the result,” added Lowe, 31.
“We're going to continue to look at the games and think about why we couldn't have been better, why we weren't better. We do that every week.
“A performance like that at home in the second leg of the Six Nations puts us in a great position going forward.
“I think we’re going to separate ourselves before coming back on Thursday, so we need to be proactive and see how we can get better.
“We probably left some points behind as well. Wales is a whole new challenge.”
Center Stuart McCloskey added he “really wants” Ireland to stay in the Six Nations and win a second successive Grand Slam, but warned the team “must not get too far ahead”.
He added: “We know how difficult it is. We've only done it four times in our history so I think we're just looking at Wales.”
Despite the defense's strong start, McCloskey added that the Irish have room for improvement and rated Sunday's win a “seven or eight out of 10.”
“I thought we were very good, but we probably left a few tries behind,” the 31-year-old Ulster center said.
“Overall, we were very happy with our defensive effort. They're a good offensive team and we've seen that over the last couple of years.
“They keep improving all the time, so it’s a big effort from the players to keep it down to zero.”
Captain Doris: “Amazing”
With Peter O'Mahony left out of the squad, Caelan Doris was named Ireland captain for the first time against Italy, and Lowe said his Leinster team-mate had taken up his new leadership role “successfully”.
“He's a great guy on and off the pitch. He's a very good learner and a good listener,” Lowe said.
“His speech before the game was to the point and great.” [where it was] It was emotional and direct, as if he had done it before.
“Fair play to him, he took everything in his stride and was still outstanding.
“He was talking about how nervous he was, and he really has his head on his shoulders.
“I think he's going to be around for a long time. He played great.”
