Siya and Rachel Kolisi have officially announced the end of their marriage.
The two revealed the news in a joint statement. However, they did not reveal the reason for their breakup.
“After much consideration and candid conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage. This decision was made out of love, respect, and the understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us. It’s coming.”
He added that the two will remain close friends and devoted partners in raising their children.
They also said they intend to continue working together at the Kolisi Foundation.
“Although our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and devoted partners who raise our children with the same love and care we have always had.
“We also continue to work together on the Foundation, which means so much to us. We are grateful for the love, understanding and support you have shown us and as we move through this period of transition. We ask for everyone's respect,” the statement added.

Siya and Rachel were married on August 13, 2016 in Franschhoek.
The couple have two children, Nicholas Siyamutanda, born in 2015, and Keziah, born in 2017.
