TV presenter Smash Africa has been announced as the new host of Mzansi Magic’s hit reality show. big brother mzansifor the upcoming season 5.
The show was previously hosted by actor and television personality Lawrence Maleka.
Smash, whose real name is Africa Mduruwa, said he was grateful for the opportunity.
“This opportunity was always meant to be and I am so grateful that I honestly have no words.
“When I look back at my journey in radio and television, I feel like everything I've done has led to this moment.
“I may not have shouted it from the rooftops or written it on my vision board, but deep down I knew something big was going to happen,” he said.
He added that he is most excited to bring his energy to the audience and housemates.
“I’m excited about the experience ahead and can’t wait to bring that energy to my home audience and housemates whenever I can.
“Everyone wants to leave feeling something good. The cozy host is here, baby! Get it!
