Nowisiwe Mapisa Nkukula house video: Snake or bird?
In a video that went viral on the X platform, eagle-eyed tweeps spotted what appeared to be a snake near Nosiviwe Mapisa Nqakula's home.
The video, posted by SABC journalist Criselda Lewis, shows Ms Mapisa-Nqakula leaving her luxurious mansion and handing herself over to authorities.
according to business live, The former defense minister lives in a wealthy eastern suburb of Johannesburg.
The snake, believed to be a python, was seen crawling along a neighbor's wall towards Mapisa Nqakula's house.
Criselda claimed she saw “movement” in the background, but admitted she didn't see a snake.
Nevertheless, the video sparked speculation on social media.
However, some people stubbornly insisted that they had seen a snake, while others claimed that the sighting was actually a bird seen in an “optical illusion.”
X user @tboydaflame He tweeted two still images side by side of what he believes to be a logical explanation.
“Frame 1: Because the vehicle and the bird are moving in different directions, the camera movement creates the illusion that the dirt track “snake” behind the bird on the right is moving.
“Frame 2: Both birds are visible.”
Others agreed with his reasoning…
@zakes_ngidi: “You're right. Your explanation makes perfect sense.”
@Sukeshman11: “No, it's a bird, so people need to go to an optometrist or eye doctor as soon as possible.”
@balesengEP: “Yes, it's a bird. There's no snake there.”
The debate continued on SABC's breakfast TV show Morning Live, hosted by Leanne Manas and Sakina Kamwendo.
Leanne believed it was a snake and said: She would have dropped her phone and ran away.”
