From music, movies, fashion to entrepreneurship, American rapper Snoop Dogg seems to have done it all. Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr, can now add another highlight to his resume: being an Olympic torchbearer.
Snoop Dogg will carry the Olympic torch through Paris for the final time before Friday's opening ceremony.

British Publications Parents Saint-Denis mayor Mathieu Anotan reportedly wrote to X that after Snoop carries the torch, there will be a concert by France's Eurovision 2024 singer Slimane in front of the Saint-Denis Basilica. He added that it will be “the last step before the Eiffel Tower.”

Last month in Oregon, in a special exhibition race at the U.S. Qualifiers, the weed enthusiast ran 200 meters in 34.44 seconds, putting him in shape for the Olympics.
Wearing a T-shirt with the face of the late basketball player Kobe Bryant emblazoned on it, the famous rapper competed against four-time Olympic medalist Ato Bolden and retired American sprinter Wallace Spearmon.
“34.44 seconds at 52 years old? Not bad,” Snoop said after the exhibition race.

Past Torch Relay Runners
The torch was lit in April at the site of Ancient Olympia in Greece, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, and then carried by a relay of runners across France.
The opening ceremony will take place on the Seine River on Friday evening, with athletes to parade on boats.
Other hip-hop artists who have carried the torch at past Olympic Games include Sean “Diddy” Combs at the 2004 Athens Olympics, while British rapper Dizzee Rascal and Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am were involved in preparations for the 2012 London Olympics.
Number 68Number During this stage of the torch relay, the flame will pass through the Olympic Village, pass by the aquatic centre and the Stade de France, before arriving on the banks of the Seine.

Olympic Fever
On Monday evening, MultiChoice hosted an exclusive screening of the 1924 Paris Olympics film, courtesy of Videovision, made by world-renowned film director Anant Singh.
Co-producer Shin SarafinaHe is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
This remastered documentary captures the 1924 Paris Games, the first Olympic Games ever captured on film.
Several South African Olympians were also in attendance, including canoe bronze medallist Bridget Hartley, who reflected on the challenges of competing at the world championships.
