Businesswoman and former beauty pageant queen Sonia Booth says she is still married to Matthew Booth.
In an interview with Sowetan LIVEthe mother-of-two reveals the day she exposed the cheating allegations with the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender.

Sonia talks to Matthew Booth about Bongani Mmbeni Moller
The Miss South Africa 2001 second princess dropped a bombshell on her social media accounts in November 2022, sharing evidence to back up her claims about her husband's alleged cheating.
Sonia said Booth used their joint bank account and her car, which was equipped with a tracking device, to spend quality time with Montbegni-Moeller. The pair are said to have traveled by car to Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal. They spent Valentine's Day together and even had a lunch date. She also claimed that the former Bafana Bafana star baked a cheesecake for his alleged girlfriend on the eve of her son's birthday, thinking it would be a feast for her family.
“I had to stop the gaslighting,” she says. Sowetan LIVE. “[At the time of exposing him] I didn't feel anything and was numb for several days. I don't even think I ate it. ”

In response to the allegations, Booth issued a statement calling the allegations “unfounded.” Mthombeni-Mollah also denied the accusations in a court application seeking an order forcing Sonia to remove the allegedly defamatory statements from her social media accounts. However, Sonia won the case on costs.
“It was a victory. [with costs] “I was given a so-called emergency cease-and-desist order, which required me to delete my social media posts and issue a public apology,” she said.

still married
Sonia told the magazine that she and Booth are still married.
“Unfortunately, I'm still married. If it's God's will, the divorce should be finalized soon, I hope and pray. But I'm in a better space now. My mental state is still a work in progress. Physically, I've never looked better, but my mom thinks I'm a little thinner,” she explains.

Last month, Sonia revealed that her divorce from the father of her two sons is underway.
Booth announced that she filed for divorce on November 9, 2022. Meanwhile, according to Sonia, her estranged husband's current partner, Bongani Mmbeni-Møller, filed for divorce from Klaus Møller in February 2023. The Mueller family's divorce was finalized in November, she said. .
