Nkateko claims the baby's mother exhibits harmful behavior and creates a dangerous environment for the child.
Ultimatum: South Africa Star Nkateko 'Kei' Mahunge is seeking full custody of her one-year-old son.
The lawsuit alleges that the child's mother, who appeared with her on the show, exhibited harmful behavior and created a dangerous environment for the child.
Appearing in pairs were Ultimatum: South Africais a show that tests relationships by helping couples decide whether to get married or go their separate ways.
Her now ex-partner had given Nukateko an ultimatum, but by the time the show's reunion was filmed in March 2023, they had already decided to part ways.
In May last year, Nukateko revealed that she found out she was having a baby shortly after their breakup.
This led them to focus on treatment to address unresolved issues and prepare for the child's arrival, he said.
Despite their efforts, Nkateko described the relationship as a “trauma bond” that oscillated between love and conflict.

Suspicion of “violence and erratic behavior”
Nkateko released a lengthy statement on Sunday, January 12th, clarifying his decision to pursue full custody of his son.
The reality star claimed in a statement that her ex-partner “ingested dangerous substances during her pregnancy and exhibited erratic and violent behavior.”
He claimed that she physically attacked him multiple times and once stabbed him while she was holding their child.
“She physically attacked me on numerous occasions, hitting me, scratching me, and even using objects to hurt me.
“One of the most dangerous incidents occurred while she was pregnant. Her aggression turned physical and escalated to the point where I became extremely concerned for her and the baby's safety. The situation did not improve after Kawe's birth; her temper became even more volatile and she frequently resorted to violence even in Kawe's presence.
“The most tragic incident was when Kanya stabbed me during an argument while I was holding him in my arms. This attack left me with physical injuries, but my most My concern was for Kawe, who was at home at the time.”
Nkateko: “I pray for justice and insight in this case.”
Nkateko said these incidents left her with no choice but to seek custody of her son to ensure his safety and stability.
“My prayer is simple: that Kawe be given the opportunity to be raised in an environment that prioritizes her safety, growth, and well-being. I do not want to see Kanya punished or vilified. I want to provide for my son as I have been commanded to do.
“While the legal system has often ignored fathers' voices in custody battles, I pray for justice and insight in this case. The evidence presented allows the court to believe that my intentions are pure. “I believe that he will understand that my love for Kawe is unwavering,” he said.
