South African woman cries for help after being abused by her Nigerian husband (Video)
In a video circulated on social media, the woman, whose name has yet to be released, is seen crying and talking about being beaten by her husband.
She said she has been married to a Nigerian man for 15 years and has four children.
The woman said she sought help from police but they, including the justice system, had failed her.
“My Nigerian husband beats me. I have called the South African police but they won't help me. We have been married for 15 years and have four children. He is good at driving me crazy. Please help me,” she said in the video.
The video has garnered a lot of attention on social media, with many raising eyebrows over the man's nationality and what may have led to his abuse.
“This is the kind of performance we want in Mzansi Magic. You said you have 4 kids. Uthini yena manyimkuza,” a Twitter user responded.
“I am a woman and I would never marry a foreigner. Oh yeah, when things were going well you wouldn't have come here straight to Lena La Rapisa,” another wrote.
South Africans dating Nigerians regardless of gender will never be accepted on a rainy day.
