South African musician Brainy Krawanski has been elected a voting member of the Recording Academy.
Your membership allows you to participate in the Grammy Awards process, including submitting music for Grammy consideration, suggesting rule changes to the awards process, and voting for Grammys.

The birth comes just four months after giving birth to her fifth child, and Klawanski said combining music with motherhood is a constant balancing act.

South African flutist Kanyisile Mthethwa was elected to the Recording Academy last year but had to be recommended for inclusion, as was the case for Krawanski, who was recommended by Professor Jeanne Seidl-Rudolf.
Seidl-Rudolf is a prominent figure in South African music: she was the first woman in South Africa to earn a PhD in composition.
Seidel-Rudolf also arranged the South African national anthem and wrote the final verse.
Seidl Rudolph taught at Wits University and was Head of Music at the Johannesburg Conservatorium of Music, and she also taught Krawanski's husband, Matt.
“She was our mentor in music production. Ruth Avenue She listened to our manuscript and gave us advice, so I contacted her and she was really happy to write me a letter of recommendation,” Krawanski asserted.
Krawanski was also recommended by music law expert Mark Friedman, who said: “I was very fortunate to be able to meet the requirements.
“I mentioned that I have done some shows online during the COVID pandemic and also had a sold-out show at Bioscope in 2022. When I did online shows during the COVID pandemic, I collaborated with artists from other countries,” the musician said.
