Springbok vice-captain Bongi Mbonambi has laughed at Irish hooker Rob Herring's appearance in the World Cup final. Rob claimed that Ireland comfortably won the match against France on February 2nd.
It was a tough Rugby World Cup tournament for both Ireland and France, with the Springboks emerging victorious. Ireland defeated the Springboks 13-8 in the group stage, but could not get past New Zealand in the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, France lost to the Springboks by one point in the quarterfinals, angering the Springboks. This was a controversial match that caused a lot of emotion and many fans still have that belief. However, it appears the Irish hooker is still hurt by the fact that he was unable to play in the final.

He believed many fans wanted to see Ireland play France in the final. After the Six Nations match, he said he was confident the fans wanted them to reach the final.

It was an emotional World Cup for Bongi Mbonambi, making him one of the most talked about players. The incident with England star Tom Curry became the talk of the World Cup, with many fans wanting him suspended.

After an investigation, he was acquitted before injuring his leg and played a key role in the final. Conversely, Rob had a quiet World Cup that ended in a defeat orchestrated by the All Blacks. In fact, his claims were reposted by Bongi Mbonambi, making fun of him. He believed it was just a joke.
What Herring Believes
Despite making fun of Irish hooker Rob Herring, Bongi Mbonambi believed fans were no longer interested in the old rivalry between the Springboks and All Blacks. He believed fans wanted something new, like an Ireland vs. France match.
“What a great way to start the Six Nations,” Herring gushed.

“This is the World Cup final that everyone wanted but never got,” he continued. “I'm really excited. Ireland and France have been two of the best countries in the world for the last few years,” he finished.
Many Irish and French fans agreed with Rob, but fans like Bongi Mbonambi ridiculed him on social media.
