The Springboks' blockbuster Test schedule includes double matches against Argentina, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and all of Wales, and one match each against England, Portugal and Scotland.
The double world champions will play six of the aforementioned 13 Test matches in 2024 in South Africa in front of their home crowd, with the remaining seven matches taking place mainly in Europe, Australia and Argentina.
Going out in the middle of the year is a personality test
The Springboks will begin their second consecutive reign as world champions under Rassie Erasmus with an exhibition test against Wales at Twickenham in London on June 22nd.
Erasmus' men will then return to South Africa for three epic showdowns on their home soil.
First up is a tantalizing two-Test series against Ireland. The long-awaited series will pit two of the world's top-ranked teams against each other and will also give the Springboks a chance to avenge their loss to Ireland in the World Cup pool stage.
The first test between the rivals will take place on July 6 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, followed by the series decider at Kings Park a week later.
Erasmus' Springboks will conclude their mid-year test campaign with a historic encounter against Portugal in Bloemfontein on July 20. The match has the potential to bridge the gap between Rugby's Tier 1 and Tier 2, as well as boost the growth of rugby nations. Rugby matches in developing countries.
Springboks return to traditional tournaments and rivalries
The Boks will then turn their focus to the Rugby Championship, which will require a three-week break before the Southern Hemisphere's premier rugby tournament gets underway.
The Springboks are off to a challenging start with two away tests against the Wallabies in Sydney and Perth on August 10 and 17 respectively.
